There are no in-person resume critiques or portfolio reviews at the 2021 Spark KC event. Resume critiques happen 1-on-1 in Zoom prior to the event for the first 75 registrants. If you are in the first 75, you’ll be contacted to set up your Zoom critique session.

You have the chance to get your portfolio and/or resume reviewed at this event!
The optional Portfolio/Resume Reviews will be available during the event on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no pre-registration available for these. Please note there are other activities going on during this time including lunch, the Career Fair and AdInk’s Brand Yo’Self presentation.
Note: These reviews TEND to be creative-focused, but feel free to bring any portfolio for feedback… just be prepared that you are likely to sit with a “creative” person, who may not know, for example, media planning.
Note: If you bring a large-format portfolio, plan on carrying it with you the entire day. It may not be possible to go back to the bus during the day — be sure to ask the bus driver if you want to arrange something, but don’t count on this.
Note: If your portfolio is web-based, be sure to bring your own, fully-charged, laptop or tablet.
Note: The Portfolio/Resume Review session is intended for those who are beginning to look for a job or internship. You must have a resume together, and you should be in a position to get some assistance on some specific jobs/careers you are considering. (This is also a great opportunity for those who already have graduated and are looking for a job in Kansas City!)
