What: AAF-KC Spark KC: Advertising’s Career Conference
When: All day, Monday, Nov. 7, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. — Doors open at 8:00 a.m., Opening session begins at 9:00 a.m.; Last session is the career fair, which runs from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (There is not a social session after this event this year, as there was last year.)

Summary description: The Kansas City Ad Club (called AAF-KC) is hosting its annual student-focused career event, now called “Spark KC: Advertising’s Career Conference.” This event was called “Advertising 101” in 2014 and “Career Day” prior to that. This event is attended by hundreds of students in the Missouri/Kansas region — Northwest has always been one of the largest, if not the largest, student attendance! Professionals who work in related jobs spend all day talking to students. Areas represented are: advertising, marketing, promotions, design, internet development and design, broadcasting, media, TV, radio, sales, etc.
Resume & Portfolio Review: Students with portfolios and/or resumes are invited to participate in an optional portfolio review and career counseling with professionals, held during a specific time frame at the event.
