When: All day, Monday, Nov. 13, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. — Doors open at 8:00 a.m., Opening session begins at 9:00 a.m.; Last session is the career fair, which runs from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (There is not a social session after this event this year, as there was last year.)

Summary description: The Kansas City Ad Club (called AAF-KC) is hosting its annual student-focused career event, now called “Spark KC: Advertising’s Career Conference.” This event was called “Advertising 101” in 2014 and “Career Day” prior to that. This event is attended by hundreds of students in the Missouri/Kansas region — Northwest has always been one of the largest, if not the largest, student attendance! (In 2016, NW was officially the largest group!) Professionals who work in related jobs spend all day talking to students. Areas represented are: advertising, marketing, promotions, design, internet development and design, broadcasting, media, TV, radio, sales, etc.
Resume & Portfolio Review: Students with portfolios and/or resumes are invited to participate in an optional portfolio review and career counseling with professionals, held during a specific time frame at the event.
